Roof Joints R1.
Geometry, analysis and remaining engineering work for Roof Joints R1.
Retained development study. Dimensions, names and checks belong to this revision—not automatically to the retrofit-only product. Manufactured tank shells are deferred. No installation instruction, certification or manufacturing release is represented.
The source reasoning
Why this detail was investigated.
Six joints are traced to the shared roof CAD datums: four header-to-jamb connections and two interrupted-member-to-header connections. The CSV gives componentwise maxima across the bending-only and two shear-flexible property cases; the JSON preserves signed force combinations and source hashes.

These loads are preliminary demands, not joint capacities. They omit axial wall thrust and geometric effects. The idealized rigid connection is at member centerlines; a physical bonded face is offset and requires eccentricity/peel analysis. Do not size a joint from vertical shear alone or combine independent component maxima as though they were a measured case.
CAD and analysis now consume roof_datums.py. The 944 × 560 mm opening and 90 × 260 × 3 mm comparison section have not been changed by this refactor.
