Tank & access / Design study / PRIMARY-ACCESS-R2

Access with a purpose.

A revised round throat, cover, guard and permanent access frame.

Retained development study. Dimensions, names and checks belong to this revision—not automatically to the retrofit-only product. Manufactured tank shells are deferred. No installation instruction, certification or manufacturing release is represented.

The source reasoning

Why this detail was investigated.

A larger nominal opening is considered with its supporting roof changes. Handling, safe reach, closure loads and site approval remain separate engineering work.

Research record

The detail behind
the study.

Source-linked work for this revision. Reported checks describe the stated model or test; physical qualification and applicability to the current retrofit remain separate.

520 mm primary access, a recessed handle, and a rebuilt permanent roof.

2,753 tank bodies. 178 CAD tests passed. Structural, service and manufacturing qualification remain open.

Access / independent guard and lid

Roof / permanent trimmer and curb

Original Subfield CONCEPT geometry. The 350 mm primary aperture has been replaced by a 520 mm nominal round throat at X -775.5, Y +550 mm. The new 243-body access module has a 640 mm cover with a recessed integral handle, twelve captive closure stations, separate guard, riser, adapter and seal/hardware bodies. The current full tank candidate contains 2753 separate solids at 500 mm cover.

The permanent roof now uses two beam-02 stubs, two 90 x 260 x 3 mm headers between neighboring jambs, six T-wrap/bond junctions, an annular curb and rebuilt deck ribs/bearings/bonds. Existing positive-Y seats are refitted where wraps intersect. The old hole is absent outside the new opening; no patch plate is implied. The tank skin, existing process equipment, four authentic supplier levels and both underside handling saddles remain in the complete candidate. Prior roof reaction studies do not qualify the changed frame.

Santa Cruz County 7.38.140(B) supplies the 20-inch dimensional screen and cover-handle requirement: https://ecode360.com/47525551. This is not a compliance determination or approval of the integrated enhanced-treatment system. The 520 mm throat is checked through the roof/riser with lid and guard removed. The lower crossmember intersects a full-depth reference cylinder; no personnel path, inlet-cleaning procedure or solids-reach qualification is established. Access to each compartment, process capacity, effluent-pump chamber provisions and the complete local approval pathway remain unresolved.

Nominal materials, laminate, bond/wrap dimensions, tolerances, tooling, process, corrosion/environmental barriers, cover/guard/handle ratings, gloved usability, slip resistance, drainage/fouling and physical testing remain open. The 500 lb whole-tank objective remains unmet. Assumed access-module mass is 26.503 kg and removable cover-group mass is 5.894 kg; these are not validated production weights. The earlier 4572 mm riser case has not been revised by this package. No burial or traffic rating is issued.

The 150-scope coverage ledger remains 51 partial concepts, 63 not modeled, 31 deferred and 5 non-geometric. No scope is released for manufacture. The primary-access rows now link this geometry and its remaining engineering work.
